Overview

Cholatse is one of the hidden gems of the Khumbu valley.  The Southwest ridge route is a mix of rock and ice climbing, with the most incredible summit ridge. You will be treated with amazing views of the Khumbu, Gokyo valley and four 8,000m peaks, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu as you climb high on the mountain. We only use 1 camp on the mountain which sits on a small ice col at 5,600m while the base camp sits in a quiet and beautiful Yak meadow at 4,700m.  Climbing Cholatse is a great test of your technical skills, physical strength and excellent preparation for an 8,000 m Expedition.
