Climbing the highest mountain on Africa and one of the 7 summits is an experience of a lifetime. This trek is a great peak for beginners going to altitude. Our journey brings you on the less known Rongai route. Travel through forest, desert, alpine and glacial while you ascend to the roof of Africa. Enjoy the wild animals with the many safari options or why not relax by the beach down in Zanzibar for trip extensions.

Day 1
Arrival to Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to hotel (1,400 m / 4,600 ft)

Day 2

Moshi – Loitokitok Gate – Simba Camp (1,950 m / 6,400 ft)

Day 3

Simba Camp – Kikelewa Cave

Day 4
Kikelewa Camp – Mawenzi Tarn Hut

Day 5

Mawenzi Tarn Hut rest day

Day 6

Mawenzi Tarn Hut – Kibo Hut

Day 7

Kibo Hut – Kilimanjaro Summit – Horombu Hut

Day 8

Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate
