K2 Abruzzi Spur

  • 8,611 m / 28,251 ft
  • Pakistan
  • 54 days

K2 is the second highest mountain in the world and known for being one of the most dangerous.  It is located in the Karakoram range in northern Pakistan.  It is also referred to as ‘the mountain of mountains’.  In 1954, the summit was reached for the first time by Italian climbers, Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni.  Our expedition will follow the same route up the south-east ridge, also known as the Abruzzi Spur.

Our objective is to put you in the best conditions to reach the summit of K2 with the support of a very good team of Sherpas and a superior logistics. World Sherpas will also provide a tracking system for your family, friends and sponsors to follow your progress as well as photo and video coverage of the expedition.

World Sherpas 2022 expedition will be led by very experienced K2 summiteer Sherpas and UIAGM guides.

      • The trek through the huge and beautiful Baltoro glacier
      • The largest concentration of the highest peaks anywhere on earth with four 8,000 m peaks within 20 km
