Kilimanjaro – Rongai 9 days

  • 5,895 m / 19,341 ft
  • Tanzania
  • 9 days

A mythical summit, the “Roof of Africa” is an amazing mountain rising majestically above the lowlands. The trek to the summit is beautiful, going through several layers of climate zones including rainforest, moorland and alpine desert. The Rongai route is on the north of Kilimanjaro and is one of the less frequented trails. This trek includes seven days on the mountain with a one-day rest to acclimatize better before the summit push. The Kilimanjaro is often combined with a safari at one of the National Parks around (in particular the famous Sarengeti) or a stay in Zanzibar to rest on the beautiful beaches and to enjoy the crystal clear water of the lagoons (on request).
